The latest girl to welcome to the CODE generation is Iris. As she walked in our office we were struck by her long limbs and piercing blue/green eyes. Her classic model features come together in a modern, refined type of beauty. Iris, who is at the start of her development, is now placed with Next Worldwide. Stay tuned for updates.

Svea Kloosterhof - cover Arnhem Mode Magazine

Ph: Barrie Hullegie, styling: Thomas Vermeer

For a month the centre of Arnhem will literally form the core of the third edition of the Arnhem Mode Biƫnnale. SHAPE is the connecting thread of the greatest cultural fashion event in the world. This year more than 80 fashion labels are participating, including Lanvin, Raf Simons, Hussein Chalayan, Jil Sander, Rick Owens, Martin Margiela and Viktor & Rolf.

Some 150 garments in Arnhem will make it apparent what the aspect of SHAPE signifies and why ‘form’ is so topical in fashion. A high-profile exhibition, satellite presentations, lectures, shows and a magazine provide insight into SHAPE. A wide-ranging cultural scope makes this third biennale intriguing and accessible for everyone.

Shape = form = fashion
Vision, material, concept and construction are the elements needed to achieve form. Form is currently setting the tone in fashion. During the biennale dozens of fashion designers demonstrate that there is more than one way of attaining exceptional forms. The starting point for Jil Sander’s Summer 2008 collection was geometric forms, such as the triangle, circle and rectangle. Moulage (creating patterns in three-dimensional space) is the basis for the feminine gowns by Lanvin. Thom Browne designs men’s fashion inspired by his admiration for existing forms. These and other interpretations of the aspect of SHAPE will be explored in the guise of clothing, images, texts and historical references.
